App UX/UI designWalltips - Travel experience web-app
Walltips was conceived as a lightweight and intuitive mini app designed to act as a digital concierge for guests staying in hotels, B&Bs, and hospitality properties. The goal was to provide immediate access to essential information about the accommodation and surrounding area, while also offering a curated marketplace of local experiences — from adventure and exploration to food and wine. The broader vision was to promote local territories and empower small businesses through a simple, accessible digital tool.

01 — Product Vision & Strategy
The project originated from the idea of simplifying the guest experience while creating a meaningful connection between travelers and local communities.
Rather than building a traditional hospitality app, I envisioned a frictionless mini app that could be easily accessed and used without onboarding complexity.
The strategic objective was twofold:
- Enhance the guest experience through clear, centralized information
- Create a digital showcase for local activities and small independent operators
Over time, we added a host-dependent tool into a standalone platform aggregating experiences across the Italian territory.
02 — UX Research & Concept Development
I led the UX research phase, defining user personas based on different types of travelers — leisure guests, experience-driven explorers, and short-stay visitors seeking quick recommendations.
Through user journey mapping and scenario analysis, I identified key friction points in how guests typically access local information: fragmented communication, lack of trust in third-party services, and information overload.
These insights guided the definition of the core user flows and the prioritization of essential features for the first prototype.
03 — Design Process & Prototyping
I developed low- and mid-fidelity wireframes to validate the navigation structure and information hierarchy before moving into interactive prototyping.
The prototype was tested with end users to evaluate clarity, usability, and perceived value. Based on feedback, I refined the interface, simplified decision-making paths, and optimized micro-interactions to ensure a seamless mobile-first experience.
The product then evolved into:
- A mobile-first web app
- A responsive desktop version
- A standalone platform independent from individual hosts, featuring a centralized catalog of experiences across Italy
04 - My Role
I managed the entire UX/UI process, including:
- UX research and persona development
- User flow definition and information architecture
- Wireframing and interactive prototyping
- User testing and iterative refinement
- UI evolution across mobile, desktop, and platform versions
From initial concept to scalable product vision, I shaped Walltips as both a user-centered hospitality tool and a territorial promotion platform.
