01 — Project Vision & Strategy
The vision for Libes was to create a social platform that inspires discovery while fostering user-generated content and community participation.
The strategic focus was to offer a space where users could share travel experiences, enrich the knowledge base, and explore new destinations in an engaging and responsible way.
Key objectives included:
- Enable ambassadors to create thematic pages for points of interest (POIs)
- Visualize POIs globally through an interactive homepage map
- Encourage responsible community contributions to highlight authentic travel insights
02 — UX Research & Concept Development
I conducted wireframing and concept design to define user flows for content creation, map interaction, and social engagement.
Early research focused on understanding what motivates travelers to share and explore, identifying the features most likely to drive community participation.
Focus areas included:
- Designing intuitive ways for users to add POIs and thematic pages
- Mapping user journeys for content exploration and discovery
- Creating a social experience that balances contribution with moderation and quality control
03 — Design Process & Prototyping
I created high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to validate the platform’s core features, from homepage maps to individual travel galleries.
The platform evolved to include personal spaces where users could:
- Upload and geolocate their photos on a global map
- Create travel blogs, itineraries, and recommendations
- Engage with the community while maintaining a curated personal collection
04 — Monetization & Future Features
The monetization strategy was envisioned around integrating travel services such as Booking.com and Skyscanner, as well as commercial pages for agencies, accommodations, and cruise operators.
These features aimed to create a sustainable ecosystem for both users and partners while maintaining the platform’s focus on discovery and authentic experiences.
05 — My Role
I was responsible for:
- Wireframing and defining user flows for content creation and map interactions
- Designing high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
- Validating core functionalities and user experience before development
- Collaborating with developers to ensure accurate implementation of features
My work helped shape Libes into a platform that balances exploration, community contribution, and usability, offering an alternative social experience centered on travel and discovery.
